Water gets turned off tonight
GWMWater is advising customers in Ararat there will be interruptions to Ararat's water supply tonight during a planned maintenance program. Most properties in the Ararat urban area will experience an overnight water disruption while GWMWater completes critical maintenance and upgrade works from 11pm tonight (Monday) to 5am tomorrow (Tuesday). These works have been deliberately scheduled overnight to minimise inconvenience. GWMWater staff and contractors will work through the night to complete the upgrades as quickly and safely as possible. The works will see GWMWater contractors carry out essential upgrades at key points in the town, addressing ageing infrastructure and known issues before they develop into larger problems.
