Pyrenees farewells Luigi Bazzani

THE Pyrenees has lost one of the figures who helped turn Moonambel from a quiet country township into a name recognised by wine lovers far beyond the region. Luigi Bazzani — remembered as a visionary host, accomplished chef and tireless advocate for regional food and wine — died on Wednesday, February 25, aged 86, at Ballarat’s St John of God Hospital, with his family by his side.
