To be eligible for the rebate, people need to have paid their registration between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026 for a light vehicle for personal use.

Motorists will get the full rebate regardless of whether they pay their yearly rego in full or in instalments.

“It’s all about putting money back in the pockets of Victorians while fuel prices remain high,” she said.

“I know how much families across our region have been struggling with the cost of fuel lately. Giving them all money back on their car rego will help, even just that little bit, with the cost of living,” she said.

“Locals who need a hand claiming their rego rebate can give my office a call on 5461 1255,” Ms Haylett said.

The Rego Rebate Scheme closes this Friday the 31st of July.
