Is regional banking on its last legs?

REGIONAL banking services continue to decline across Australia, with branch closures and reduced opening hours creating challenges for customers who rely on face-to-face banking. In Ararat, the local ANZ branch, the only remaining ANZ branch between Ballarat and Horsham, is currently open just two days a week, making it more difficult for some residents, particularly those who are not comfortable with online banking, to access services.
