Grampians girls star with bat and ball at annual under-14 Girls Shield
The Grampians Cricket Association's best players played five T20s.

A 10-wicket win was just one of the many highlights from this week's Grampians girls' representative team.
The Grampians Cricket Association's finest up-and-coming players were pitted against some of the region's best at the 2025 KFC Western Victoria under-14 Girls Shield in Hamilton from January 14-16.
A T20 masterclass at Pedrina Park saw the GCA take on the bigger Geelong development side.
Undeterred, the side bowled aggressively and had their opponents at 4/6 before a slight recovery saw the side finish at 7/67.
Opening bowler Danielle Armstrong finished with 2/4, while Harriet Roberts added 2/6.
In the run chase, Kate Drum (31* of 28 deliveries) and Millicent Brunt (13* off 20) showed no fear, reaching the target within eight overs.

Earlier in the day, the GCA lost to Warrnambool Moyne by 61 runs.
The second day of the tournament saw the girls lose two close games.
Taking on Ballarat, the GCA was restricted to 5/98 from its 20 overs. The BCA reached the target in the 18th over.
Taking on the Hamilton Hurricanes in the afternoon, the Grampians girls were again restricted to 5/89.
The hosts would eventually win by seven wickets.
The GCA played Colac on January 17.
After four games, Drum leads the team with the bat and ball, accumulating 52 runs at an average of 26 and four wickets for just 9.5 runs a piece.
