The event will run from noon until late at the Buangor Community Sports Centre, offering visitors a mix of entertainment, food, trade stalls and a fireworks display.

The 100 per cent volunteer-run, not-for-profit event has been organised to support the wider Buangor community, with organisers encouraged by the strong backing received from local businesses and organisations.

While the volunteer events crew has been busy navigating permits, promotion and insurance, organisers said they had been humbled by an unexpected groundswell of support, with sponsors contributing both financially and through in-kind donations.

Live music will feature throughout the event, with performances by local Buangor band The OAFS, Warrnambool musician Trevor Keilar, Liam Baker from Maroona and Heidi Moncrieff, originally from Echuca-Moama.

A fireworks display by Melbourne-based Flash Fireworks will add to the festivities, while a range of food vans will cater for hungry visitors.

Food vendors include Emma’s Bakery, Gelato is Key, Smoke on the Weir, Timboon Ice-cream, Just Coffee, Coffee with the Girls, Brat House, Nigel Broughton and Pathway Essentials.

Visitors will also be able to browse trade stalls featuring Bairnsdale Horse Centre, supporting Dolly’s Dream, Urban Dust Hat Bar, Midlands Irrigation and Frontline Socks.

A chainsaw display by Stuart Rowe will provide another attraction for the crowd.

With entertainment continuing from midday until late, organisers hope the inaugural motor show will bring people together for a memorable day while showcasing the generosity and community spirit that has helped make the event possible.

As a not-for-profit initiative, the event will also help support the wider Buangor community, with organisers grateful for the contributions of the businesses, organisations and volunteers who have helped bring the show to life.
