Almost 100 extra beds earmarked for local prison

THE Victorian Government has confirmed a sizeable investment at Ararat’s Hopkins Correctional Centre with work underway to grow capacity by around 100 beds. Corrections Minister Paul Hamer visited the prison this week with local MP Martha Haylett to inspect current facilities and discuss the prisons expansion.
