A place where people belong

EVERY few months, hundreds of people walk through the doors of Stawell Uniting Church looking for a bargain. Many leave with more than one. But after almost 11 years, the volunteers behind the church’s Pop-Up Shop know that bargains are only part of the reason people keep coming back.

The volunteers behind Stawell Uniting Church’s Pop-Up Shop — Peter Evans, Kay Evans, Noelene Castle, Elva Raggatt and Allison Rasche — have helped transform the seasonal event into one of Stawell’s most enduring community gatherings, raising more than $118,000 since it began in 2015.
